SIDNEY, Neb- Cabela’s announced Monday they plan to hire around 200 full and part-time employees in the new Grandville, Mich. store.
The store is scheduled to open sometime in Spring 2013.
Applications are being accepted now and interviews will begin on December 16, 2012 through December 20, 2012.
To apply, visit www.cabelas.jobs, click on “Apply Now,” then “United States Jobs.” Then follow instructions to log in. Applications must be submitted online.
Most employees are expected to come from Grandville and the surrounding area. Typically, Cabela’s attracts applicants with detailed knowledge about the outdoors and an aptitude for customer service.
“We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for creating Cabela’s legendary shopping experience for customers,” said John Woniewski, general manager of the new store.
Woniewski began his career at Cabela’s in the Dundee, Mich., store nine years ago, working in various roles. He has a total of 18 years’ experience in the outdoor retail industry and is a passionate outdoorsman.
The 88,000-square-foot store will be located at 3000 44th Street SW at the east end of the Rivertown Mall, a new 380,000-square-foot retail center in Grandville. The Grandville store will join the Dundee location in Michigan, with an additional store slated to open in Saginaw in early 2013.
The building’s exterior will reflect Cabela’s popular store model with log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. A large glass storefront will allow customers to view much of the interior as they approach the store.
Currently, Cabela’s operates 40 retail stores across the United States and Canada. The company has announced plans to open an additional 12 by the end of 2014.
