GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Two armed robberies took place on Wednesday, near the main campus of GRCC around 7:20 p.m.

The first robbery took place on the corner of Lafayette Ave. and Crescent when a male victim was walking on the side-walk. Two suspects came up to the victim and asked him what time it was. They then threatened the victim with a gun demanded he hand over his wallet and other possessions.

A similar robbery happened, with the same suspects, on the corner of Barclay and Crescent St. The suspects approached the second victim and again asked for the time and demanded money. According to the police the victim resisted the robbers. It is presumed that the robbers then hit the victim in the face with the gun itself.

The first suspect is described as a 20-25 year-old male with slim build and medium complexion standing between 5’5” and 5’8′ tall. He was wearing a dark or tan hoodie at the time of the robbery.

The second suspect is described as a 20-25 year-old black male with a medium build standing around 6’1” tall. He was wearing a white zip up sweatshirt with large colored stripes.
