Schools in Montcalm County Close Due to Illness

EDMORE, Mich., — Many West Michigan students have gotten an extra break this winter after schools in Montcalm County were forced to shut down due to sick students and staff.

Montabella Schools in Edmore has closed for the rest of the week of Dec. 10 due to a flu outbreak, but classes are expected to resume the following Monday on Dec. 17.

In addition, the Edmore Head Start program has also closed for the week. However, because of the holidays, the program will not open again until Jan. 3, but staff members are to report to work as scheduled.
