OCEANA COUNTY, Mich. – 911 audio files released from a helicopter crash earlier this month detail more about the incident that killed a man.

Matt Williams one of the passengers on the helicopter called 911, he was disoriented and couldn’t remember much about the crash.

The pilot, Tom Slocum, was killed in the accident. In the call, Williams can be heard telling dispatch that the Hart man was unresponsive.

Because of bad cell reception, it took a bit to piece together where the chopper crashed.

The wreckage was eventually found in a wooded and swampy area of the Manistee National Forest.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the chopper to go down.
