KALAMAZOO, Mich– A 20-year-old driver at Jimmy John’s was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night, according to a press release.

It happened just after 10 p.m. when the man was making a delivery in the 4300 block of Thornapple Grove. That’s in the Arboretum apartment complex, close to Western Michigan University. He was approached by two suspects in the parking lot. One of them pointed a silver handgun at him, and demanded his money and cell phone. The delivery driver complied, and he wasn’t injured.

The Kalamazoo Public Safety Department brought in police dogs to track where the suspects ran, but they weren’t found.

The suspect who was armed is described as a black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 160-170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black baggy pants.

The second suspect, also a black male in his early 20s, is described as about 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing around 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black baggy pants and a red bandana covering his face.
