Ottawa Teen Arraigned On Assault With Intent To Commit Murder

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. – The 17-year-old who allegedly stabbed his roommate multiple times was arraigned Monday.

The incident happened on Dec. 14, at about 11:40 p.m at the 4000 block of 144th Avenue in Park Township.

Officials said an argument became physical when the teen stabbed his 32-year-old roommate several times in the chest. The victim was taken to Holland Community Hospital. He was later flown to Spectrum Butterworth where he remains in critical condition.

A third roommate was injured when he attempted to break up the fight. Those injuries were not serious.

The assailant remains at the Ottawa County Jail.

He is being held on a $750,000 bond on one count of assault with intent to commit murder.
