WEST MICHIGAN — A powerful winter storm will move through parts of the Midwest Wednesday. This storm will give parts of Indiana, Ohio, and Southeast Lower Michigan some heavy snow but for the most part miss us here in West Michigan.

The map shows forecast snowfall amounts by Wednesday evening from FOX 17’s Future Track computer forecast model. Much of Central Indiana, Ohio, and even the Detroit metro area could receive over six inches of snow. Here in West Michigan, amounts will be lower, though some areas along the Indiana border could pick up a few inches.

If you have travel plans Wednesday, especially to the south and east, expect delays. Further, if this forecast verifies, there will be plenty of flight delays across much of the Midwest as well. For the latest forecast anytime, go to the FOX 17 weather page at
