Posted

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Lake Superior State University has revealed its list of the most misused, overused, and  just plain useless words for 2012.

It’s the school’s 38th annual list of banished words and it includes: fiscal cliff, kick the can down the road, double down, job creators/creation, passion/passionate, yolo, spoiler alert, bucket list, trending, superfood, boneless wings and guru.

The list is compiled from nominations sent to LSSU throughout the year, and is released each year on New Year’s Eve. Through the years, LSSU has received tens of thousands of nominations for the list, which now includes more than 800 entries.
