KENTWOOD, Mich. – Police are investigating two suspicious deaths in Kentwood.
Police aren’t releasing many details, but said two people were found dead inside a home on Stonevalley Drive Saturday morning.
Neighbors said an elderly couple lived in the home. They also said police informed them a car was found burned out in downtown Grand Rapids.
The car led them back to the house.
FOX 17 was told bloody, broken glass was found outside a window behind the home.
A neighbor, Stephen Harris, said the home next door to the couple was broken into three weeks ago.
It was the first break-in Harris remembers since moving to the neighborhood in 1993.
“It’s a very scary feeling because this neighborhood has always been a very safe neighborhood,” Harris said.
He said another neighbor made a new discovery Saturday morning.
“He evidently saw some tracks leading back to his house, so he thought someone tried to come back and break into his house again,” Harris said. And the tracks actually went up to that blue house where the couple were found”, Harris added.
