JAMESTOWN TWP – A Hudsonville woman was taken to the hospital after a crash early Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 12:09 p.m.
The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said Sarah Lichti, 38, of Hudsonville, crashed her 2010 Dodge Caravan in a watery ditch at Quincy Street and 12th Avenue.
Dive teams were dispatched after the woman said her children disappeared in the water.
The woman’s husband and her kids showed up at the scene not long after the crash.
Police said the children were actually with their father and were not in the van at the time of the crash.
Lichti apparently hit her head and thought the kids were with her, police added.
She was taken to Metro Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
