GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Officers in Grand Rapids recovered a stolen vehicle late Tuesday night.  K-9 units searched the area, locating a gun and a mask.

The original report of a stolen vehicle came from Leonard Street at 11:28 p.m.  Roughly a half-hour later, police located that stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Jefferson SE.  Tracking dogs were brought in to try and find a suspect.  While they failed to locate anyone, they did turn up a gun and mask.

At around the same time all of this was happening, police were alerted to reports of shots fired on Brown Street SE.  That is less than a mile from where the stolen car was recovered.  Investigators are looking into whether all the incidents are related.
