HOLLAND, Mich. – Holland police are investigating two separate home invasions where guns were stolen.

On Thursday, Jan 10, homeowners in the 900 block of Columbia discovered someone had broken into their home. They reported that their flat screen television, money and a .357 revolver handgun were missing.

Police believe the suspect(s) entered the home through an unlocked door.

Later that same evening, homeowners in the 200 block of E 35th, reported that someone had broken into their home by forced entry through a locked door. They reported that the suspect(s) stole three semiautomatic handguns. The guns stolen were a .380, .45 and a 9mm.

Police said that because the burglaries are in close proximity to each other, with handguns being stolen from both homes, it’s likely they’re related.

Both burglaries are also believed to have happened between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Holland Department of Public Safety at 616-355-1100.
