GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — As the weather in West Michigan starts to feel more like winter, a two-week event celebrating the season is on its way to Grand Rapids.
The event is called WinterWest and will be held at Richmond Park, on Grand Rapids’ west side.
The event features activities that include a cardboard sled competition, a hockey tournament and a 5K trail run.
WinterWest will also feature a warming shelter that offers free hot chocolate and coffee during the events.
