Arctic Air, Snow To Invade Saturday Night

Posted

WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — After mild temperatures on Saturday in which most areas will rise into the 40s, a big change is on the way for Saturday Night.

The picture above shows FOX 17 Future Track HD for 7:30 Saturday Night. It is at this time the Arctic cold front will be moving into West Michigan. Temperatures will plummet with gusty winds. There will likely be a wind advisory issued for Saturday night, as I expect wind gusts of 40 miles per hour as the cold air pours in.

With the arrival of the cold front Saturday evening, there will be a quick burst of widespread system snow but only just an inch or two.

Behind the cold front, some lake-effect snow will develop and will become heavy at times Sunday evening into Sunday night. The lake-effect snow will persist into Monday and Tuesday as well.

There will be some watches, warnings, and advisories issued for this weekend. For a look at what is happening here and across the rest of the country, click HERE.

FOX 17 will have complete coverage over the weekend, and of course, you can always visit the FOX 17 weather page athttp://www.fox17online.com/weather
