Ric Wesley Wins 200th Game at Grand Valley State

ALLENDALE, Mich – Grand Valley State beat Saginaw Valley State 78-62 Thursday.

It was Ric Wesley’s 200th win as the Lakers Coach.

Welsey is in his ninth season at the helm in Allendale now holds a career record of 200-63.

GVSU (11-2, 14-3) jumped out to a 14-point lead at the half and was never really threatened in the second half.  Ricardo Carbajal scored 20 points, and Ryan Majerle (Rockford) added 15 off the bench.

Coupled with Wayne State’s double overtime loss at Ferris State, the win puts the Lakers just a half game behind the Warriors.

GVSU travels to Detroit to play Wayne State at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
