Friday Forecast: Snow Showers Returning

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Snow showers will continue to develop around West Michigan Friday morning.  Most of the snow accumulations should be on the light side during the day, only around an inch or two away from Lake Michigan.

However, a couple of areas may see some heavier bursts of snow that may create slow driving at times.  Northern sections of the lakeshore are under a Winter Weather Advisory for the potential that lake enhancement will cause accumulations of two to four inches or more during the daytime.  An additional window of heavier snow is possible for most areas west of U.S. 131 early this evening as winds shift onshore again.  As a result, most lakeshore areas may end up with around two to four inches through this evening.

Lighter lake-effect snow will linger into Saturday morning, with additional accumulations of an inch or two likely west of U.S. 131.

The rest of the forecast for the next few days is, suffice to say, completely different.  Check it out on the Weather page or on FOX 17 Morning News from 5:00 to 9:00 A.M.
