Police Investigate Thefts From Garages

FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police have been investigating two larcenies that happened within the same area.

The Fruitport Township Police Department is investigating thefts from garaged reported in the 5500 block of Farr Road. Both incidents happened on Jan. 19.

Victims of the thefts reported that their garages had been entered and items stolen.

Police were able to recover some of the stolen items, but are seeking tips regarding the location of the remaining items:

  • Huskee Log Splitter
  • Green 1995 Honda Quad
  • White/Blue 2008 Yamaha Dirt Bike

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the Fruitport Township Police Department at 231-865-8477 or Silent Observer at 231-72-CRIME.

    By reading this story I have to assume that these garages were NOT locked up. I have to ask WHY not.
    If a person can afford these items they certainly can afford a lock.
