GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Radar continues to show thin but heavy bands of lake-effect snow falling across West Michigan as of midday Thursday.  These bands will continue in much the same fashion through this afternoon.

Bands stretched eastward all the way into areas along and east of U.S. 127.  Several inches of additional accumulation will be likely into early this evening, with the highest totals along and west of U.S. 131.

As a result, lake-effect snow warnings and advisories were extended further inland by the National Weather Service.  Click here for NWS warning information.
