GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Lake-effect snow has set up shop for the day, with the heaviest bands concentrated between I-96 and I-94.
Most locations west of U.S. 131 will pick up three to six inches by early evening, with the highest totals likely coming in Allegan County.

Heavy overnight snow closed schools in most of Kalamazoo County, including Western Michigan University and Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
