7-11 Robbery Suspect Possibly Linked To Other Hold Ups

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Police believe the man who allegedly robbed a 7-11 Friday morning is possibly linked to other hold ups.

Corey Lamont Roberts, 42, was arrested for armed robbery on Friday.

After further investigation, the Grand Rapids Police Department is also seeking charges against Roberts for at least two other armed robberies that occurred in Grand Rapids over the past two months.

One of the robberies occurred at the Marathon gas station located in the 2500 block of the East Beltline Avenue on Jan. 17, 2013.

Friday’s incident happened at the 7-11 located at 4429 Breton Avenue SE. At 1:30 that afternoon., Roberts was arraigned in a Kent County District Court. He was charged with one count of armed robbery.

Roberts next appearance in court will be held on Feb. 14 at 10: 30 a.m.
