A lake-effect snow warning remains in effect overnight tonight for most areas north of I-94, including Grand Rapids. Additional accumulations will be from 3 to 6 inches before the snow winds down Saturday afternoon.
This image from FOX 17 Doppler radar shows the heaviest snow in Kent and Ottawa Counties. Among the cities receiving the heaviest snow are Grand Rapids, Rockford, Grandville, Hudsonville, and Comstock Park.
We are receiving reports that I-196, U.S. 131, I-96, and M-44 are getting slick. Use caution when driving on West Michigan roads this evening.
