As if we haven’t seen enough yet, there is more accumulating snow on the way late Saturday night through Sunday. Some areas from western Kent County, through Ottawa County, into Allegan, Van Buren, and Berrien Counties have seen well over a foot of snow the past few days.

The attached snapshot shows LAKE-EFFECT SNOW ADVISORIES are in place from 1:00 AM Saturday night through 1:00 PM Sunday afternoon for all of our lakeshore counties. This includes Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren, and Berrien Counties. Kalamazoo County was also added this morning (mainly the western portions). Two to four inches of snow are possible in these areas through the day on Sunday and lesser amounts along/east of U.S. 131 (about one to two inches).

By the way, Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow on Saturday morning for Groundhog’s Day, so he’s predicting an early Spring. Click herefor the rodent recap. Regardless of Phil and all of his rodent friends, the Climate Prediction Center has issued their outlook for the next 30 days and behind. Click hereto see it!
