GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Griffins goaltendeer Petr Mrazek has had quite a week.
He started the week by playing in the AHL All-Star Classic and earning the win in the actual All-Star game. He then was in net last night for the Griffins 5-1 win over Hamilton. Tonight, he had his first career shutout.
Mrazek made 32 saves and the Grand Rapids Griffins needed every single one of them as they beat the Abbotsford Heat 1-0 at Van Andel Arena Saturday night. Adam Almquist scored the only goal of the game late in the first period when he picked the puck up soon after leaving the penalty box and beat Danny Taylor for the game-winning goal.
