WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — As a weaker system exits West Michigan, our attention turns to a stronger system that could result in a lot more snow across parts of Michigan.
The latest computer model forecast from FOX 17 Future Track shows an area of 6 to 12 inch accumulations in parts of Newaygo, Oceana, Montcalm, and Mecosta Counties. However, it should be noted that this represents a shift north as compared to previous model forecasts. Earlier forecasts had the swath of 6 to 12 inch snowfall amounts as far south as I-96, including Grand Rapids.
This is still a developing weather situation, and of course FOX 17 will continue to have updates on this potential winter storm on-air and online at http://www.fox17online.com/weather
