Expect Slow Afternoon Commute Tuesday

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Snow will develop again during the day Tuesday, likely resulting in tricky driving conditions through the afternoon.

An area of low pressure will slide north of the FOX 17 viewing area and bring snow showers to all of West Michigan.  The snow will start around midday and will be enhanced somewhat by the flow off of Lake Michigan for some lakeshore areas.

The heaviest snow will fall in parts of Ottawa, Muskegon, Oceana, and Newaygo counties — these places will see two to as much as five inches through Tuesday afternoon.  The rest of West Michigan will likely remain between one and three inches.

Snow will wind down Tuesday evening, with a dry day ahead Wednesday.  However, more snow is in the forecast Thursday; you can check out the full 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.
