3:30 A.M. Weather Update: Last Band of Snow Moving Through

Posted

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — After a wild day of weather, the last band of moderate to heavy snow will work its way through West Michigan early Friday morning.

As of 3:15 A.M., that band was still dumping more snow on some of the hardest-hit areas, including parts of Muskegon, Ottawa, northern Kent, and Montcalm counties.  This band will gradually move eastward and then exit the area by the time the morning commute begins.

Scattered lighter snow showers may still hang around through mid-morning, but clearing will start to develop after midday.  The combination of dry weather, sunshine, and temperatures around 30° will likely allow the conditions of main roads around West Michigan to improve considerably Friday afternoon.

FOX 17 Morning News will feature updated snowfall totals, live reports around West Michigan, your viewer photos, and the rest of the weekend forecast from 5:00 to 9:00 A.M.

Be sure to check back for updates on the Weather page and on the FOX 17 Facebook page as well.
