WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — The blast of cold air and snow continues this afternoon in West Michigan, with heavy snow and very gusty winds.

This image from Live FOX 17 Doppler radar shows the heaviest snow in Allegan, Ottawa, Muskegon, and Kent Counties. The snow is coming down at the rate of nearly an inch per hour in some spots. Further, winds are gusting to over 30 miles per hour, and this is reducing visibilities to under a mile.

The snow will taper off overnight tonight before ending Wednesday.

All of West Michigan is under a winter weather advisory until 1AM.

I’ll have the latest forecast starting at 5 on FOX 17 News, and of course it’s always a click away at http://www.fox17online.com/weather
