South Haven, Mich. – A man was arraigned Thursday after police said he texted a 13-year-old girl for sexual intercourse.

Officials said Ricardo Cura mistakenly believed a South Haven resident was the 13-year-old girl and had been texting her to meet with him.

The Southwest Enforcement Team was contacted by the South Haven resident to investigate.

The S.W.E.T. then continued to text Cura while acting as the 13-year-old and pursued him at the South Haven Public Library.

Police said Cura was found to be friends with multiple underage girls on Facebook.

Police arrested Cura on Wednesday.

He was arraigned in the 7th District Court in Paw Paw for a felony charge of Accosting a Child under 16 years of Age for Immoral Purposes.

Bond is set for $100,000.
