GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Heavy, wet snow Tuesday night will cause slow conditions on most West Michigan roads early Wednesday, but snow will gradually taper off and allow for some improvement by midday.
Snow reports have come into FOX 17 overnight mostly in the three- to five-inch range, with some totals as high as six inches. Another inch or two will be possible in spots through the day Wednesday.
As snow showers diminish during the day, temperatures that will mainly remain around or above freezing will help to allow for fairly quick clearing and melting of snow from main roads around West Michigan. However, side streets and county roads will still take more time for crews to get to.
Some lingering light snow showers will be possible Wednesday night and Thursday morning before the last of it exits the region. Beyond that, quieter conditions will be heading our way for the start of March on Friday and most of the weekend.
