MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Police are looking for you. But they don’t want to arrest you.

They want Muskegon residents to go through their Spring Citizen’s Police Academy, a rare chance to see law enforcement from the officers’ point of view.

Deadline for registering is March 18. The academy lasts 10 weeks.

The Spring Citizen’s Police Academy is a weekly introduction in the process of law enforcement, from dispatching to patrolling to investigating. Students must be at least 17 years old, but there is no upper age limit.

Applications are available online.
