Woman In Drunk Driving Crash Turns Herself In

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — A woman involved an injury accident the resulted in a drunk driving warrant for her arrest has turned herself in.

Crystal Lynn Rose, 25, of Paw Paw, reported to South Haven Court on February 22 and was arraigned the same day on a misdemeanor charge of operating while intoxicated with an occupant under 16 years of age. A five-year-old child was in the car with Rose when the crash took place on November 29, 2012.

In the crash, Rose was driving near the intersection of 60th Street and 8th Avenue in Geneva Township when she crossed over into oncoming traffic, drove off the road and hit a tree, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department. She and the five-year-old were taken to Save Haven Hospital. The child was released, but Rose was transferred in serious condition to Bronson Hospital.

Rose will appear again in court on March 19.
