WEST MICHIGAN – A current snapshot of radar (Saturday afternoon) shows mainly quiet weather conditions across much of the nation. There are a few light snow showers in the eastern third of the United States, but no severe weather or big winter storms yet. That said, the Northern Plains do have WINTER STORM WATCHES out for a system that will be spreading six inches or more across the region over the next 24 to 36 hours. Click hereto see the watches in effect.

We managed to squeeze a little sunshine out of our Saturday with temperatures running a bit below normal in the upper 20s to near 30. We are expecting a little more sun on both Sunday and Monday with mainly quiet weather continuing until Tuesday. We’ll have the chance for some accumulating snow at that time, so stay tuned to later forecasts. Temperatures are also expected to gradually warm the next several days with reading well into the 40s to near 50 degrees later next week.
