(WEST MICHIGAN) — The sunshine made an appearance this weekend, thanks in part to cooler, drier northerly winds. Temperatures warmed into the upper 20’s with light winds but active weather is on the horizon. An approaching clipper system will drop south into the upper midwest and move southeast Monday and Tuesday. At this point, it looks like we will see more of an impact from this system than previously thought as weather forecasting models are starting to trend slightly farther to the north. This change would be more favorable for a larger, more widespread area of snow to develop and move across West Michigan. With that said, it is also quite possible for this system to track further to the south which will essentially limit snow accumulations north of Kalamazoo. The forecasted track will likely change in the next few days, we will continue to monitor changes and update you on Fox17online.com/weather
