Time Change This Weekend

Posted

UNITED STATES — (FOX 17) — Remember that extra hour of sleep we had last November? This weekend, we lose that hour as most of the country starts observing Daylight Saving Time. At 2AM on Sunday, the time will advance ahead one hour. Only Hawaii and Arizona do not adjust their clocks.

What that means is more daylight in the evening and less daylight in the morning (temporarily). On Saturday, before the time change, the sunrise is at 7:05am, while the sunset is at 6:42pm. On Sunday, once the clocks have moved forward an hour, the sunrise is at 8:03am, and the sunset is at 7:43pm.

For those early risers, the loss of daylight in the morning is only temporary. The sunrise will be back to 7am again by the middle of April.

Remember, spring forward Sunday at 2AM, or at least before bed on Saturday night.

No matter what time of day, the latest forecast is coming up soon on FOX 17 News or on the weather page athttp://www.fox17online.com/weather
