WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — All eyes have been on an approaching system for Tuesday, and it looks like most of West Michigan will miss out on a significant snow.
The image above is the latest forecast from our in-house computer model, Future Track HD. The trend over the past 24 hours has been for this system to move south, and this seems pretty reasonable with a strong high pressure system to the north. Only areas along U.S. 12 near the Indiana border could have some decent snowfall amounts. Van Buren County is under a winter weather advisory Tuesday, while Berrien and Cass Counties are under a winter storm watch.
Due to some enhancement from Lake Michigan, Chicago could end up with the most snow from this system. Make sure to call ahead if you have flights in and out of O’Hare or Midway Tuesday.
