GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A dry wind from the east and northeast will fight off snow across most of West Michigan Tuesday.

Early Tuesday morning, a solid band of snow was entering parts of western Wisconsin and northern Illinois.  However, an upper-level disturbance will dive southward and combine with a low-pressure center that will pull most of the snow south of the FOX 17 viewing area.

As a result, most of West Michigan will stay dry, with only a few flurries possible late in the day Tuesday.  Even if snow appears to approach on the radar, a good portion of it will likely evaporate before it reaches the ground.

Locations along I-94 may still see minor accumulations of up to an inch or two, but even that appears to now be in question.  Areas northward, around Grand Rapids, Holland, and Muskegon may only see a few flurries at most.

Accumulations along the Indiana border will still likely be up to three or four inches, with totals of six inches or more likely across areas from Chicago through much of northern Indiana.

You can check out interactive radar and the rest of the 7 Day Forecast on the Weather page.  If you are one of the few who does see snow, let us know how much and post a photo to the FOX 17 Facebook page.
