Winter Storm Hitting Midwest

MIDWEST — (FOX 17) — Lower Michigan is on the northern fringe of a potent winter storm that is creating a mess in parts of the Midwest. This image from Live FOX 17 radar shows the southern two tiers of counties in Michigan receiving some snow. Amounts here have been light, at least compared to other areas in the Midwest. Paw Paw has received two inches so far, with Hartford getting three inches.

Neighboring states are getting much more. Here’s a look at some totals as of 9:00 Tuesday night:

  • Chicago, 8.2″
  • St. Joseph, 6.5″
  • Fort Wayne, Ind., 4.5″
  • South Bend, Ind., 4.2″
  • Indianapolis, 2.0″
