03-07-13-Bumble-Bee-recallSAN DIEGO — Certain cans of Bumble Bee brand tuna are part of a recall issued by the company and the Food & Drug Administration.

The recall was instituted by the maker’s belief that not all cans were perfectly sealed.

Specific codes on five-ounce Chunk White Albacore and Chunk Light Tuna products were in the recall, said maker Tri-Union Foods.

Most cans displayed ‘best-buy’ dates of January 16, 2016, through January 18, 2016.

If you have recalled cans, you should throw them away. Questions on reimbursement can be made to Bumble Bee Consumer Affairs 24 hours a day at (800) 800-8572.

There have been no reports of illness due to the problem.
