Grand Rapids, Mich. — There will be an open casting call this Saturday for a new movie being filmed in Michigan.
The family-friendly film “Holiday Miracle” is holding an open casting call in Grand Rapids.
The film stars Dean Cain (“Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”) and Christine Lakin (“Step by Step”).
Auditions will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 9 at the West Michigan Film Office located at 741 Kenmoor Ave. SE in suite E.
The film is looking for people to fill the following roles:
Santa – standard Santa look. This is a major role; we would like to see actors with extensive stage and film credits.
Frederico – Latin, 40s, very handsome, Telomundo soap opera type.
Young Wife – Caucasian, pretty but not sexy, age 23 to 30.
Mr. Harold – African-American male, age 60 or older
Shirley – African-American female, heavyset, late 30s or 40s.
Mother in Law – 50s, Caucasian. Typical pain the rear mother in law with one or two too many glasses of wine in her.
Reisig is a Hope College graduate who has shot many low-budget films in the Grand Rapids area.
