GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Friday will start quietly enough, but wet weather will move in around midday, with snow developing Friday night and leaving minor accumulations around West Michigan by Saturday morning.
Moisture will arrive in West Michigan in the form of some light snow showers around midday Friday, but that will mix with rain in spots south of Grand Rapids through Friday afternoon as temperatures approach 40°. During that time, any snow accumulation will be difficult to come by through the daylight hours.
However, roads may start to get slick after sunset Friday evening as the mix changes back over to all snow. Total snowfall amounts will likely range from one to three inches by Saturday morning, but some of that will not stick to the ground for a while, reducing the total impact.
Snow will end quickly by early Saturday morning, and some sunshine will return as the weekend progresses. But, temperatures will remain cooler than average through at least most of next week.
