WEST MICHIGAN – A rain snow mix of precipitation is expected to develop across the area through the late afternoon and in to the evening hours. While temperatures are mainly in the upper 30s, we’re not expecting anything too slippery on the roads initially.
By later this evening and during the overnight hours, all precipitation will change over to snow showers and begin to accumulate. Most locations should see totals on the order of one to three inches with lighter amounts along/south of the I-94 corridor (as more rain mixes in). Lighter amounts may also occur well north/east of Grand Rapids with an inch or two falling in those locations. As temps fall in to the 20s overnight, roads may become a bit slick. Snow showers are expected to taper off by Saturday morning with just a few lingering flurries left.
It’s possible we may see some late day clearing on Saturday as high temperatures reach the middle 30s. Get the complete West Michigan forecast, including a peak at radar by going to www.fox17online.com/weather.
