Largest National Ad Buy For Pure Michigan

LANSING, Mich. –Pure Michigan is set to start a new national advertising campaign, costing some big bucks.

The campaign begins on March 18 and is the largest budget ever dedicated to promoting Michigan as a tourism destination nationally. The campaign will run through the end of June and includes five partners: Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Mackinac Island, The Henry Ford and Traverse City, along with a new Pure Michigan summer video series.

The 2013 national campaign is a $13 million investment, with the five partners pitching in about $3 million.

Grand Rapids is a new national partner in the advertising campaign.  They encourage visitors to come and experience the culture, energy and beauty of the city.

The Pure Michigan television commercials will also air nationally more than 5,000 times on networks such as FOX News, E!, CMT, Lifetime, Oxygen and many other cable networks.

The summer video series can be viewed on both michigan.org and the Pure Michigan Youtube channel, which will feature activities, such as biking, golfing, fishing, winery, sand dunes and dining.
