WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — Although the first day of spring is Wednesday, there is nothing but winter weather on the way for the next few days.
This image from FOX 17 radar shows a wintry mix across most of West Michigan. However, as colder air moves in, the precipitation will change to all snow. There is a lake-effect snow advisory in effect tonight all the way until Midnight Tuesday Night for areas along and west of U.S. 131. Accumulations will easily exceed 6″ in these areas. Tuesday morning’s commute will be a mess.
Another issue will be the wind. Not only will the strong winds produce blowing snow, but it will make the cold temperatures feel even colder. Single digit wind chills are possible Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
