MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — After a slow start to the snow season here in Michigan, many areas are really piling up the snowfall totals. In Muskegon, the total is 98.6 inches, just 1.4 inches away from reaching 100 inches. This is 9.1 inches above normal. In Grand Rapids, the total so far is 64.9 inches, which is 6.6 inches below normal. Here is a look at some other snowfall totals across Michigan:
- Marquette: 178.3 inches, 0.1 inch above normal
- Sault St. Marie: 138.8 inches, 27.1 inches above normal
- Lansing: 29.3 inches, 18.4 inches below normal
- Alpena: 45.5 inches, 29.8 inches below normal
- Detroit: 47.2 inches, 7.9 inches above normal
