Outdoor TV Stars At New Cabela’s Store

GRANDVILLE, Mich. — The opening of the brand new Cabela’s store in Grandville will have some Outdoor Television celebrities greeting visitors from March 23-24.

The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

One guest is Sportsman Channel’s “meat-eater” Steven Rinella, a Grand Valley State University Alumni, and huge outdoorsman.

Other guests include R. Lee Ermey, who played “Gunny” from the movie “Full Metal Jacket”, which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Suppoting  Actor.

Les Stroud from the television show “Survivorman” will also be attending from 1 p.m. to 3p.m.

Appearences by Buck Knives and Cabela’s Pros will be showing visitors some equipment.

Also, Sunday will include stars from “Michigan Out of Doors” Television from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Lots of family friendly activites will be apart of the event all weekend, along with giveaways.

    To describe Steven Rinella as a GVSU "alumni" is incorrect. "Alumni" is the plural form of "alumnus." Rinella is an "alumnus" of GVSU. If you were describing a woman, it would be "alumna." That is the singular form of "alumnae."

    OMG, R Lee Ermey is hilarious. If Cabela's would have built a store over here (plenty of sarcasm) then I would be all over that place for everything under the sun. BTW, was Les Stroud from Survivor or some other Survivorman show(s) ?
