Morel Saute with Pasta Alfredo Sauce and White Wine

  •  ½ pound of morel mushrooms
  •  ½ stick of butter,
  • Garlic seasoning
  • ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 10 oz. package of pasta
  • 16 oz. jar of prepared Alfredo sauce (Ragu or other brand)
  • ½ cup white wine such as Gewürztraminer


  • Prepare the pasta according to label directions
  • Slice the morels into ringlets (1/8 to ¼ inch thick)
  • Melt the butter in a deep sauté pan
  • Spread mushrooms in the pan
  • Add garlic seasoning (to taste)
  • Sauté (turning often) until they make a popping sound
  • Add white wine and stir
  • Add Alfredo sauce while continuing to stir
  • Serve with sprinkled cheese atop

Tasting notes:

  •  Pairs well with a fruit plate and
  • Peach-scented white wine such as Gewürztraminer
