$5,000 Reward Offered For Information Leading To The Arrest Of Robbery Suspect

Battle Creek Robbery BATTLE CREEK,Mich. — Southwest Michigan Federal Credit Union is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the  man who robbed the Battle Creek branch office located on Columbia Avenue on January 31, 2013, at approximately 9:30 a.m. After stealing an undisclosed amount of money, the robber fled on foot through the nearby golf course to a get-away vehicle.

The suspect is an approximately

  •  6’0” tall black male, medium built. 
  • Suspect was wearing a black sweatshirt with white lettering, black sweatpants with white lines down the sides,
  • A light brown hat
  • Glasses, and a black cover around his neck and jaw area.
  • He was also carrying a small hand gun.  

Anyone with information concerning this robbery, to include assistance in identifying the clothing vendor for a Temple jacket, and identification of the stocking cap, is asked to call the Kalamazoo office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at (269) 349-9607 or the Battle Creek Silent Observer at (269) 781-0912.
