MIDWEST — (FOX 17) — A major winter storm impacted much of the midwest over the weekend and today, causing numerous accidents and power outages.

This picture is from our sister station in Indianapolis, where they received 9.0 inches of snow. Just to the northeast, Muncie received 10 inches, while Hartford City ended up with a foot. Illinois was even harder hit. Here is a look at some other totals:

  • Urbana, Ill., 13 inches
  • Champaign, Ill., 12 inches
  • Monticello, Ill. 13.5 inches

Here in West Michigan, there was some light snow closer to the Indiana border, but there were no significant accumulations.
