WEST MICHIGAN — (FOX 17) — It seems like it took a while for winter to start, and now it seems like it’s taking a long time for it to end. This image is a computer model forecast for Monday morning, the 1st of April. The area in pink over Michigan represents some unusually cold air. The air is so cold, in fact, that there could be some lake-effect snow showers. Having lake-effect this late in the year is extremely rare.
Here’s some good news. Between now and then, temperatures are going to be a little milder. By Friday and Saturday, highs will be near 50º. It looks like Easter Sunday will start out wet and end white, as that is when the colder air will invade West Michigan.
