Kalamazoo, MI – Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say a child was hit by a car near the intersection of East Cork Street and Konkle Street Thursday morning. Information gathered at the scene indicated that the child was crossing East Cork Street, headed to Millwood Middle School when he was struck by a car heading westbound on E. Cork St.
The victim, a 13-year-old student at Millwood Middle School, suffered some cuts and other non life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to Bronson Hospital.
At this time, the accident remains under investigation.
